Crest Robotics and Computing Academy will be providing robotics classes for 2026-27 using Lego kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held at Creekside Elementary School, located at 19993 East Long Avenue, Centennial, CO 80016. Classes will be held on Fridays after school from 2:45-3:45PM. Classes start on Sep 4 and run through May 21. No class on Oct 16, Nov 27, Dec 25, Jan 1 and Mar 19. On Sep 18, Nov 6, Mar 5 and May 7 we will be holding virtual SCRATCH coding classes. In addition, Apr 23 and May 14 will be used as a make up days for inclement weather and/or other emergencies. For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We use Google Photos to share pictures and videos of children working on projects, with their parents, and also offer parents a chance for parent teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project. Cancellation policy Registration/sign up fees are non-refundable. Registration will enroll your child for the school year which is divided into two semesters. Fees for first semester are non-cancellable and non-refundable. To cancel for semester 2, log in to your account and click Cancel registration by the end of November. If you do not cancel in your account by the end of November, fees for semester 2 are due in full and are non-refundable. No exceptions will be made to cancellation policies.
