Privacy policy

Who we are

Crest Robotics and Computing Academy ("Crest", "we") runs after-school robotics, coding and AI clubs at schools in Colorado. This policy explains what information crestcomputing.com collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you create an account or register a child, we ask for: the parent or guardian’s name, email address and phone number; a second parent or emergency contact; the child’s name, grade, date of birth or age, gender, school and classroom teacher; prior robotics experience; food allergies; how your child leaves school after class; anything else you choose to tell our faculty; billing name and address; and how you heard about us.

We also keep a record that you accepted our terms, cancellation policy and liability waiver, including the date and the internet address and browser used.

Children’s information

We collect information about a child only from their parent or guardian, and only to run the class safely: for rosters, attendance, allergies and dismissal. Children do not create accounts on this site or use it themselves.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We keep a record of amounts, your payment plan and payment dates, along with Stripe’s reference to your saved card so scheduled payments can be charged. Stripe’s privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to sign you in. We do not receive your Google password, and we cannot see your email, files or contacts.

How we use your information

We use it to run our classes (registrations, rosters, attendance and waiting lists), to keep children safe, to send class updates, confirmations, receipts and payment reminders, to charge the payments you agreed to, to answer your questions, and to keep the records we need for accounting and legal purposes. We use cookies to keep you signed in.

Who we share it with

Our faculty and coaches see the information they need for the classes they teach. School contacts may be told about enrollment in a club held at their school. We use trusted service providers to run the site: Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in and email, and Hostinger for hosting and our database. We may also share information when the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your family has an account with us and for as long as we need it for classes, payments and our accounting and legal records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can view and update your family and child details in your account. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or ask us to delete it, email info@crestcomputing.com and we will respond promptly.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as secure connections, restricted staff access and a payment processor that handles card details, to protect your information. No website can be perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your account has been misused.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
