Olney Robotics and Coding Club (Spring 2027) K-5: Wednesdays 3:30-4:30PM; Jan 27-May 26

Crest Robotics and Computing Academy will be providing robotics classes for Spring 2027 using LEGO kits and Scratch, a block-based coding platform built by MIT. Classes for kindergarten through fifth grade meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, January 27 through May 26, 2027, at Olney Elementary School. No class on March 31 (spring break).

For robotics, children work in small teams of 2–3 to complete a project that includes building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child works individually. We share photos and short videos of children working on their projects privately with the families in the class through each family’s Crest account. Our goal is to teach problem-solving skills and logical thinking. We also help children practice positive behaviors, learn teamwork, and build confidence by talking about their creations at the end of each project.
