Ryan Robotics and Coding Club (2026-27) K-5: Wednesdays 2:35-3:35PM; Jan 13-May 26

Crest Robotics and Computing Academy will be providing robotics classes for 2026-27 using Lego kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held at Ryan Elementary School, located at 5851 W. 115th Ave., Westminster, CO 80020. Classes will be held on Wednesdays after school from 2:35PM to 3:35PM. Classes start on Jan 13 and run through May 26. No class on Feb 10 or Mar 24.

For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We share photos and short videos of children working on their projects privately with the families in the class, through each family’s Crest account, and also offer parents a chance for parent-teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.
