Crest Robotics and Computing Academy will be providing robotics and coding classes for 2026-27 using Lego kits and Scratch (a block based coding platform built by MIT). Classes will be held at Werner Elementary School, located at 5400 Mail Creek Lane, Fort Collins, CO 80525. Classes will be held on Tuesdays after school from 3:45PM to 4:45PM. Classes start on Dec 1 and run through May 18. No class on Dec 22, Dec 29, Mar 16. In addition, Apr 27 and May 11 will be used as make up days for inclement weather and/or other emergencies.

For robotics, we focus on individual class projects where we create a small team of 2-3 children that complete a project including building and coding in each class. For coding in Scratch, each child will be working individually. We use Google Photos to share pictures and videos of children working on projects, with their parents, and also offer parents a chance for parent teacher conferences to discuss their learning and growth. Our goal is to teach children problem solving skills and logical thinking. We also teach children how to model good and positive behaviors, learn how to work in teams and build their self-confidence and esteem by encouraging them to talk about their creations at the end of each project.

Registration/sign up fees are non-refundable. Registration will enroll your child for the school year which is divided into three trimesters. Fees for first trimester are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Please note cancellation policy and timelines below for trimesters 2 and 3. If you do not cancel in your account by the deadline, fees for the trimester are due in full and are non-refundable.
